As the anticipation of cruising and travel, sun, fun, unforgettable
adventures and new friends begins to excite your senses;
specific questions will come to mind. Here are some answers.
Do you need your passport?
Yes. Since heightened security is now here to stay, it is
more important than ever to travel with proper documentation
and identification. Your travel agent will assist you in
this respect. Call for advice and travel requirements.
Isn't Cruising A Stuffy Holiday
For Older People?
Definitely not. Our cruise ships are jam packed with loads
of fun activities... the pool & pool deck, the gym,
the casino, great dining, fantastic shore excursions at
every port of call, just a myriad of things to do every
day to keep you as busy as you choose to be.
What About Dinner Sittings?
Simply decide whether you’d like to dine early or
late and let your travel agent know your preference when
you book your cruise. Remember, first come, first served.
What About Laundry?
Laundry, dry cleaning and ironing services are generally
offered with a choice of regular service (1-2 days), next
day return (by 7pm) or same day service (pick up before
9am and back by 7pm). Check your cabin for a price list
and further details.
What About Safety Deposit
Boxes?
Ships have safes in every passenger cabin. Passengers may
rent a key per week.
What About Credit Cards And
Cash?
Check with your agent on a particular cruise that you are
considering for the currency that is used on board cruise
ship. Travelers’ cheques may be cashed on board. Personal
cheques are not accepted. Visa, MasterCard and American
Express may be used to pay personal expenses.
Do I Have To Tip?
On most ships, tipping is included in the price, so there
is no need to tip at restaurants and bars on board unless
of course you want to.
What Personal Expenses Should
I Expect?
All beverages, massage, beauty parlour services, room service,
laundry service, telephone calls, medical services and shore
tours are extra.
What Should I Pack?
Pack light. Pack for comfort. The dress code is as relaxed
as the ambience and rules are few. Days aboard are casual.
Easygoing. Fun. Sportswear is perfect. Toss in something
smart for the Captain’s Cocktail Party and Farewell
Dinner, and you are all set to go. And don’t forget
your bathing suit, hat, sunscreen, camera and lots of film.
What About Excursions At
Ports Of Call?
At sea, we hold a Tours Fair describing all the excursions
offered on your cruise. Booking forms are available at the
tour desk upon embarkation. A preliminary summary of all
excursions will be included in your ticket wallet.
Can I Call Home From The
Ship?
All cabins are equipped with satellite phones from which
you can dial home, direct at a charge.
